Our Village Art Galleries Community is growing!
- Araaman Alvin Fudge is the seventh of 13 children born to Neutie and Viola Fudge, in Newark, New Jersey, who were all artists. nbsp;Araaman has been an artist since he was 15 years old. nbsp;He attended Arts High School, went on to teaching, and ended up in Ohio 13 years ago. nbsp;He says of his work, "Art as Healing' is an ancient concept, where the process wasn't even called art. nbsp;It as where the ancient peoples used their creations to perform in spiritual ceremonies and rituals; to stay connected to the Universal Source and then interwoven into their daily lives.
As a "visual historian", my job and goal is to reflect our oneness with the universe and to inspire the viewer to realize their full potential, through deep inner communion, as co-creator's. nbsp; These ancient sacred images and imagery were used for the spiritual health, well-being, and prosperity of the entire village or community. nbsp;Today those same images can be captured and portrayed in artwork and used as powerful "tools" in homes, schools, the workplace, and in the community as public art. nbsp; With vibrant colors, powerful multi-layered images and transparencies, and images of pyramid's and cosmic light, overlapping to create a mystical quality. nbsp;Araaman's paintings and drawings evoke a deep calling in us all.
He has been represented in numerous art exhibitions and private collections, including The Newark Museum, Newark, New Jersey: The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio: National Broadcasting Company (NBC-TV), New York, New York; Newark Public Art Gallery; Davenport and Associate, The William Thomas Gallery; University of California, Irvine; Dartmouth College; MidBloc Art Gallery, East Orange, New Jersey; University of California, Los Angeles, and The Oakland Improvisational Theater. nbsp;Private collections include: Dr. nbsp;and Mrs. nbsp;William H. nbsp;Richardson, Ms. nbsp;Njoke Kamau, Mrs. nbsp;Jerrolyn Simpson, Dr. nbsp;Victoria Codispoti, and many more. nbsp;He says, "I want to bring a greater awareness about environmental issues, people being stewards to Mother Earth, and bring more love, peace, and harmony to the world through the arts and building healthy communities".
There will be other artists' on display as our art galleries community grows. nbsp;Araaman, one of the founding members and the executive director, said, "We're still looking for other local artists, especially in the "arts rich", Ohio City community. nbsp;We also art leasing to businesses, other art services, and workshops, from self-esteem and teamwork to leadership training, stress & anger management, and empowerment. nbsp; For information about joining us - Click here!
